SAWE LA 2023: End of the Year Address

A hearty thank you to all the members of the SAWE Los Angeles Chapter for making this year one to remember.

We are most appreciative our the members who gave up their time to contributes to SAWE this year. Among the activities our members participated in were virtual forums and training sessions. I am impressed by the wealth of knowledge available at our chapter.

Our biggest accomplishment: the recent selection of Los Angeles as the host city for the 2026 SAWE International Conference. The upcoming years will involve plenty of hard work. I believe strongly that we are one of the SAWE chapters best equipped for the job. We welcome new members or members who do not typically participate to get involved as well. This conference is a good learning opportunity to see what goes on in setting up a conference that involves members from all across the United States and even outside the country. Contact me via email if you would like to participate or if you have any great suggestions.

So let’s celebrate a year of milestones as we look forward to a year of great fortune. After all, 2024 is the Year of the Dragon.

Let’s have our first in-person get together of 2024 on February 10. Details to follow.
