Seattle SAWE is working with local companies in the aerospace, shipbuilding and land vehicle industries to provide a small view of how mass properties and weight and balance truly are universal concepts that are applicable in almost any situation.
Puget Sound is unique in the density of naval and aerospace related businesses. It is host to a number of naval related businesses that design, build, retrofit and repair vessels of all sizes. It also accommodates the main engineering campus for Boeing Commercial Airplanes as well as a number of companies that support the aerospace industry.
We would like to highlight these companies, describe what they do, what sets them apart in the industry, how weight and mass properties are important to them and lightly discuss the industry from their perspective.
