Members Needed for New Consensus Body created by the SAWE SPC Committee to Develop a SAWE Recommended Practice for Weight Reporting in the Aviation Industry.
A Special Committee under the SAWE SPC is officially soliciting membership for the development of a SAWE Recommended Practice that will concentrate in standardization of Format for Weight Reporting in the aviation Industry. Potential evolution of this new RP into an ANSI Standard will in time be evaluated by the SAWE SPC committee. EOMs have developed throughout the years unique templates to report weights and so have their Suppliers. There is an urgent need to have a common standard for this type of document that can be embraced by the entire Aviation Industry.
The objective is that the membership in this Consensus Body broadly represents known directly and materially affected interests and that together develop an RP/Standard suitable to everyone’s needs.
Membership is requested from both domestic and international, directly and materially affected parties/interests. Although participation in this Consensus Body is open to everyone, the number of members with voting rights will be limited to twenty (20) directly and materially affected parties/interests. The SAWE SPC Special Committee Chairman will recommend voting rights member candidacies to the SAWE SPC. Membership will be confirmed upon SPC’s concurrence. If you are interested in participating, please contact the SAWE SPC Special Committee Chairman, Mr. Jose I. Attar. If voting rights membership is requested, please indicate how this RP will affect the party you represent. Membership requests must be submitted for consideration prior to or not later than September 30, 2012.
