Abstract
The General Dynamics Space Systems Division Mass Properties Group is in the process of incorporating two recently developed computer programs into their technical analysis. These programs are used in the preparation of nodal mass distribution for finite element structural analysis and in the verification of a mass properties database. This paper describes the need for, the use of, and the benefits gained from employing the Mass Properties Model PLOTter (MPPLOT); and the nodal mass distribution program, MASs DIStribution (MASDIS) on the Apollo computer.
