Abstract

This paper describes a software package under development at NWC which facilitates the handling of mass properties data and other computational tasks routinely encountered by mass properties users. The primary function of the program is to permanently store all measurements and vital information about the components of a manufactured system. This information can then be recalled when required. The software also includes routines that handle statistical analysis of data sets. This analysis includes calculation of the mean and standard deviation of a data set and uses the parallel axis theorem and the principle of superposition to perform calculations that are of interest to the mass properties user.
