Abstract
Dynamic balance machines, their readout capabilities, and the interpretation of those readouts are described. The basic equations of dynamic imbalance are derived. Figures that represent an unbalanced test specimen along with a mathematical example are provided. The body/machine reference axis relationship is discussed. Equations to determine balance weight locations, including a minimum weight solution, are provided.
