Support Our Mission

The Society of Allied Weight Engineers (SAWE) is a nonprofit international organization whose purpose is to promote the mass properties discipline and provide members and industry a medium for exchanging best practices and experiences with the objective of fostering a higher degree of quality in mass properties control.

Your financial support for our undergraduate student scholarships helps us encourage the next generation of STEM practitioners. Please consider a gift to enable us to continue supporting our future mass properties community.

The SAWE Scholarship Program

Each year, our society awards scholarships to deserving children and grandchildren of SAWE members. There are two types of scholarship funds: the SAWE Scholarship Fund and the SAWE Frank Fong Scholarship Fund. The SAWE Scholarship Fund is supported by contributions from individuals, SAWE Chapters, proceeds from SAWE Textbook sales, and the silent auction held at our Annual International Conference. The SAWE Frank Fong Scholarship Fund, however, is sustained solely by donations from individuals or the Frank Fong family.
Applications are open from March 1st to April 30th annually, and we announce the recipients at our Conference Awards Banquet. The number and amount of scholarships awarded depend on the generosity of our donors.
Donations are welcome year-round. If you would like to support either of these scholarship programs, an easy way to contribute using a credit card is provided below. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
