Abstract
This paper covers the evolution of the X-47A Pegasus. It addresses the objectives envisioned in developing the concept, the design and construction methods used in building the prototype, elements of the subsystems included in the air vehicle and the integration procedures used to complete the vehicle. The presentation summarizes the results of initial testing of the air vehicle and the planned flights scheduled to be conducted at Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWC) China Lake, CA in 2002.
