Abstract
A method for mass properties analysis of a rotor blade design utilizing a computer program is presented. The program also allows calculation of individual component properties, as desired. Each element entered (lamina or geometrical shape) is processed by an appropriate subroutine, and results added to totals collected on a sub-group, main group and case level. A general procedure for defining a blade contour at critical points is outlined, and classification of parts into categories for analysis is discussed. Properties of spanwise segments selected by the user are determined and printed.
