Abstract

With the development of processor-oriented software architecture and common data base management systems, an analyst or designer can now more easily and rapidly develop and adapt computer analysis tools for special problems. One such software management system is discussed, along with the necessary processors and data base, in an application to the minimum weight design of a 1000 foot tall, guyed tower.
References are made to the analysis codes, and the optimization work on a guyed tower is discussed; however, of equal importance is the illustration of the benefits of the data base and processor architecture as it affects the ease of data management and problem adaptability
