Abstract

In this volatile economy the key element is survival. More and more technical companies are failing and
damaging local economies as production slows and demand for goods declines.
Conceptually, large companies will survive and small companies will cease to exist. Numerous large
companies are swallowing medium and small companies and merging with still larger companies to form
conglomerates. By the year 2000 there will be a Fortune 100 instead of the current Fortune 500. To survive
in a highly technical environment, these six elements that comprise a formula for ‘survival’ must be followed.
