Abstract
The author discusses Shipbuilder and Design Agents response to the U.S. Navy Weight Control Program and the practical aspects of controlling weight growth on naval vessels. The application of weight control programs to defined classes of naval ships and suggested simplifications in certain areas is also discussed. The problems of recruiting and maintaining weight engineering personnel, and suggestions on the recording of weight data are also included in this paper.
