Abstract
This paper was presented at the Nineteenth National Conference of the Society of Aeronautical Weight Engineers at Los Angeles, California, May 16 – 19, 1960. Space missions require a variety of payload weights, altitudes and trajectories. There is also the additional complexity of different launch azimuths, latitudes and orbital inclination planes. To compare the relative efficiency of two satellite systems, it is necessary to resolve the various parameters to one common reference.
In turn, the procedure used to reduce the initial flight information furnishes growth potential information for parametric studies that are useful for comparative purposes.
