Abstract
The outline of a method is presented which provides a means of investigating the interrelated effects of design parameters on the weight and aerodynamic characteristics of an aircraft. Through general and example analyses, it is shown that the method may be used as a preliminary design tool to obtain minimum gross weight and optimum design parameters for a given specification.
